Do You Know Using a DeltaPreferred Option® (DPO) or DeltaPremier® Network Dentist Can Save You Money?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3


1. Go to your internal Delta Dental site.
2. Click on Search for a Participating Dentist.
3. Find a dentist in your area.

Here’s an example of how you’ll save with a DPO network dentist:

Fee charged:		$110
DPO allowed fee:		$80
DPO discount:		$30
Delta Dental pays 90% of allowed fee:		$72
You pay ($80 - $72):		$8

Because DPO network dentists agree to accept the amount listed in Delta Dental’s DPO member dentist schedule, they cannot charge the $30 difference between the DPO allowed fee and the fee charged to the enrollee.

Here’s an example of how you’ll save with a DeltaPremier network dentist:

Fee charged:		$110
DeltaPremier Maximum Plan Allowance (MPA):		$100
Delta Dental pays 90% of MPA:		$90
You pay ($100 - $90):		$10

DeltaPremier network dentists accept Delta Dental’s MPA as payment in full so they cannot charge the $10 difference between the MPA and the fee charged to the enrollee.

Here’s an example of what you’ll pay with an out-of-network dentist:

Fee charged:		$110
Usual & Customary fee:		$100
Delta Dental pays 90%:		$90
You pay ($110 - $90):		$20

Because out-of-network dentists do not have agreements with Delta Dental, the amount you pay is based off of the dentist’s total fee charged.
